Using the Button

  1. Turn On: Press the button once to power on the device.
  2. Switch Modes: Press and hold for 2 seconds to toggle between “Peer” and “Host” modes.
  3. Turn Off: Press and hold for 4 seconds to power off the device.
  4. Charge Your Device: Use the micro USB port to charge the device as needed.

Connecting to the Host

  1. Turn On the Device: Ensure the device is in Host mode.
  2. Connect via Wi-Fi:
    • Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your phone or tablet.
    • Connect to the device using the password displayed on the center of the screen.
  3. Keep the Host Powered:
    For uninterrupted use, connect the Host device to a battery bank during operation.

Adding Peers in the App

  1. Power On Peer Devices: Use the MAC address on the device for identification.
  2. Log Into the PitchThis!® App: Open the app and navigate to the Devices screen.
  3. Add Peer Devices:
    • Tap the blue plus sign to add a peer device.
    • Fill out the three required fields:
      • MAC Address
      • Player Name
      • Position
    • Save your entries when finished.

Pairing Devices

  1. Prepare the Host Device: Turn it on and connect it to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the App: Go to the Devices screen and select Pair Devices.
  3. Status Updates: The Host device will display its status while pairing.
  4. Set Up Peer Devices: Ensure at least one peer device is added in the app.
  5. Pairing Confirmation: Press Pair Devices, and check that the Wi-Fi symbol changes from white to green—indicating a successful connection.

Sending Pitches

  1. Pair Your Devices: Confirm all devices are connected and paired in the app.
  2. Select Your Sport
  3. Choose a Pitch Grid: Pick the grid you’ll use to call pitches.
  4. Send Your Setup to Your Connected Devices.
  5. Choose Devices to Send To
  6. Send the Pitch:
    • Select the pitch in the app.
    • Press Send Pitch Now—the pitch will display instantly on the devices.
  7. Track Results:
    • Record the outcome of each pitch.
    • Move to the next pitch and repeat.
